MKTG 5080. Independent Study. 1-3 Hours.
Students undertake intensive directed study in a particular area in marketing under the direction of faculty. Variable Credit (1 to 3). Course Equivalents: MKTG 5380
Prerequisite: Approval of Department Chair and Graduate Coordinator.
MKTG 5085. Special Topic. 1-3 Hours.
Graduate students undertake an in-depth exploration of emerging topics and advanced concepts in marketing. Designed to adapt to evolving industry trends and academic interests, the course provides a dynamic learning environment where students engage with contemporary marketing issues through lectures, case studies, and/or applied projects. Topics may vary by term and instructor, allowing for flexibility and topical relevance. Variable credit (1-3). Course Equivalents: MKTG 5385
Prerequisite: Graduate standing and departmental approval.
MKTG 5330. Marketing Management. 3 Hours.
Students recognize the role and value of marketing management strategies as part of broader business goals. Students learn to assess environmental factors, use decision frameworks, develop and evaluate marketing programs, and to apply the elements of a comprehensive marketing plan.
Prerequisite: Graduate Standing.
MKTG 5335. Services Management and Marketing. 3 Hours.
Students identify the scope of the management and marketing of service businesses, and the service component of all businesses. The focus is on the special characteristics of services, and the challenges in designing and managing all aspects of services towards attaining the organization’s goals.
