ARTS 4373. Contemporary Issues in Photography. 3 Hours.
Students analyze and evaluate current trends in contemporary photography through critical examination of influential practitioners shaping the field of fine art photography. Through discussion and comparative study, students contextualize their own creative practice within broader artistic and cultural frameworks. Students then apply technical and conceptual skills to create a cohesive body of photographic work that demonstrates sustained personal inquiry, conceptual development, and artistic intent. Prerequisite: ARTS 2365 and ARTS 2375 with a grade of C or better.
