THNKĀ 3333. Foundations of Inquiry. 3 Hours.
Students in this course survey the ways in which research practices from liberal arts and social sciences are applied to solve social problems. It is organized as an inquiry into how these various perspectives can provide insight into large-scale societal issues that lack consensus political, scientific, or ethical solutions. Coursework emphasizes critical thinking and applied ethics when developing proposals aimed at making progress on seemingly intractable issues.
