Students obtain an overview of economic sociology as a field, which is the sociological analysis of economic phenomenon. Specific topics may include the production, consumption, distribution, and exchange of goods and services, and the impact of the different forms of economic institutions on the political, social, and cultural. This course equips students with essential skills that directly translate into many industries (e.g., systems thinking, etc.)
