SOCI 1301. Introduction to Sociology. 3 Hours. [TCCN: SOCI 1301]
Students consider sociology as a discipline and learn about the tools used to understand and explain social institutions, social processes, social problems, and human interaction in a social world. This course equips students with essential skills that directly translate into many industries (e.g., intercultural fluency, collaboration in fast-changing workplaces, analytical problem solving, etc.) and is a prerequisite to many other courses taught in the department.
