ETMEĀ 4378. HVAC Systems. 3 Hours.
Students learn about principles of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVACR) systems. Students study major components such as compressors, condensers, evaporators, and expansion devices for domestic and commercial applications, along with laboratory practices. Heat transfer (conduction, convection, and radiation), psychrometric analysis, and heating and cooling load calculations are applied, considering surface conduction, solar radiation, internal heat gains, infiltration, ventilation, and other system factors. Course Equivalents: ETEC 4378 .
