ETDD 4339. Advanced Computer-Aided Drafting and Modeling. 3 Hours.

Students are introduced to computer applications used in design and drafting, learning the techniques required to produce technical models and drawings. They will study drafting practices and apply them using computer-aided design (CAD) software. While prior experience with drafting software or computers is helpful, it is not required. Students will produce technical drawings using various digital design and drafting methods, covering 2D drawing concepts and an introduction to three-dimensional parametric modeling. The course is intended to build foundational knowledge and skills applicable to any CAD system. Course Equivalents: ITEC 4339
Prerequisite: ETDD 1361 and Junior standing.
