COUN 6363. Assessment in Guidance and Counseling. 3 Hours.
Students conduct contextualized biopsychosocial assessments and mental status exams as part of a clinical intake interview; complete a Cultural Formulation Inventory; choose, administer, and interpret standardized assessments, symptom checklists, suicide and threat assessments, and interview protocols for diagnostic interviewing, including use of basic psychometrics; and use assessments to measure clinical outcomes to inform practice.
