Communication Studies is a modern field rooted in the ancient discipline of rhetoric, which examined how language and symbols shape thought, persuasion, and human connection. The program examines how individuals and groups create, share, and interpret messages across a variety of contexts and channels. Students study interpersonal, group, intercultural, family, organizational, public, and mediated communication while gaining practical skills that prepare them for careers in business, law, government, education, media, and non-profit sectors. By mastering communication strategies, students learn how effective communication strengthens relationships, shapes culture, influences public opinion, enhances leadership, and contributes to professional success.
