CLIN 7430. Internal Medicine – Hospital Medicine. 4 Hours.
Students work with internal medicine physicians, or internal medicine subspecialists, who care for hospitalized patients with serious illness. The experience may include inpatient admissions and/or consultations and some intensive care. Students engage with patients to collect data, perform physical examinations, and work with their attending physician to reason through differential diagnoses and generate a plan for management of serious illness. Credit: 4 hours.
Prerequisite: CLIN 7402.
