CLIN 7427. Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CCU) – Cardiac Critical Care. 4 Hours.
Students work with cardiologists who care for patients with cardiovascular conditions in the intensive care setting. The experience may include inpatient admissions and/or consultations. Students engage with patients to collect data, perform physical examinations, and work with their attending physician to reason through differential diagnoses and generate a plan for management of the most severe cardiovascular scenarios.
Prerequisite: CLIN 7402.
