CLINÂ 7051. Advanced Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R). 1-4 Hours.
Students train with PMR specialists who care for patients with widespread disorders of the nervous system and skeleton. Opportunities may include brain injury medicine, pain medicine and/or palliative care, pediatric rehabilitation, and spinal cord injury. The experience may include outpatient clinic, inpatient admissions, and/or specialty consultations. Students engage with patients in the collection of data, perform physical examinations, and work with their attending physician to reason through differential diagnoses and generate plans for minimally-invasive management of neuromuscular and skeletal disorders. Credit: 1-4 hours.
