CLIN 7049. Pediatrics – Transplant. 1-4 Hours.

Students train with pediatric transplant specialists (e.g., cardiologists, nephrologists, pulmonologists, hematologists) who provide medical care for children pre- and post-transplant of solid organs or bone marrow. The experience may include outpatient clinic, inpatient admissions, subspecialty consultations, and surgical interventions. Students engage with patients in the collection of data, perform physical examinations, attend surgical procedures when requested, and work with their attending physician to reason through differential diagnoses and generate plans for management of childhood transplant disorders. Credit: 1-4 hours.
