CLIN 7046. Pediatrics – Nephrology. 1-4 Hours.
Students train with pediatric nephrologists who care for children with acute and chronic kidney diseases. The experience may include outpatient clinic, inpatient admissions, subspecialty consultations, and outpatient surgical interventions. Students engage with patients in the collection of data, perform physical examinations, attend surgical procedures when requested, and work with their attending physician to reason through differential diagnoses and generate plans for management of children with renal disorders. Credit: 1-4 hours.
