CLIN 7042. Pediatrics – Hematology - Oncology. 1-4 Hours.
Students train with pediatric hematologists and/or oncologists who care for children with hematologic and/or oncologic disorders. The experience may include outpatient clinic, inpatient admissions, subspecialty consultations, and surgical interventions. Students engage with patients in the collection of data, perform physical examinations, attend surgical procedures when requested, and work with their attending physician to reason through differential diagnoses and generate plans for management of children with hematologic and oncologic disorders. Credit:1-4 hours.
