CLINÂ 7018. Internal Medicine - Infectious Diseases. 1-4 Hours.
Students train with infectious diseases subspecialists who care for patients with serious infections. The experience may include outpatient clinic, inpatient admissions, subspecialty consultations, and hospital microbiology/mycology laboratory exposures. Students engage with patients in the collection of data, to perform a physical examination, to experience the microbiology and mycology laboratories when requested, and to work with their Attending physician to reason through differential diagnoses and generate a plan for management of serious infectious diseases. Credit: 1-4 hours.
