Students learn the fundamentals of Animal Science and the subsequent industries that utilize animals including cattle, horses, sheep, goats, swine, poultry, wildlife and companion animals. After completing this introductory course, students should have knowledge of the basic concepts of selection, reproduction, breeding, genetics, behavior, nutrition, animal products, management and research as applied to animal management.
