Bachelor of Science, Major in Athletic Training

The Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE). The program has been placed on Probation as of February 11, 2020, by the CAATE, 6850 Austin Center Blvd., Suite 100, Austin, Texas, 78731-3101. 

The Athletic Training Program is no longer accepting applications to the Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training.  The program is preparing to transition to the Master's level and is proposing a Master of Science in Athletic Training (MSAT) degree.  Please, contact the Department of Kinesiology to receive updates on the progress of the MSAT degree proposal. Students wishing to pursue a career in Athletic Training are encouraged to choose a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a Concentration in Clinical Exercise Science.
