POLSÂ 3370. European Politics. 3 Hours.
: Students examine political systems, institutions, and contemporary political dynamics across Europe. The course surveys major European democracies, emerging and post-communist political systems, and the institutions and policymaking processes of the European Union. Topics may include political development, party systems, electoral systems, executive–legislative relations, nationalism and identity, economic integration, democratization, and the challenges facing European states in a changing global environment.
Prerequisite: 6 hours of POLS.
